The Daily .WAV has operating costs consistant with most other high-traffic websites. The killer, of course, is bandwidth fees. The entire cost comes out of my own pocket and is offset by click-throughs on advertising and donations from the public.
Some months I break even, but most months I don't. Occasionally there are months where I might get a little more (which offsets the slow months). No matter what the size of your donation, every bit helps and I am very grateful for your help in keeping this site alive!
UPDATE 2009-03-10: After more than 11 years at my day job I was laid off due to budget cuts. With the economy as it is, the revenue from the ads on the site have dropped to less than half of what they pulled in just 9 months ago. It pains me to sound like a beggar, but your donations help more now than they ever have!
